OvoHi Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of OvoHi, including registration, profiles, chat, moments, translation, VIP membership, coins, and related services.
Introduction
These Terms are entered into between any individual who registers for or uses the service and the operating company of “OvoHi” (referred to below as “OvoHi”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
OvoHi is a language learning and cross-cultural exchange platform for users around the world. It is designed to reduce language, regional, and cultural barriers. OvoHi supports multilingual instant communication, intelligent translation, topic-based conversations, and authentic content interaction so users can practice languages, share daily life, exchange cultural perspectives, and broaden their global view.
OvoHi is committed to authenticity, openness, respect, and inclusion. We aim to create a safe and friendly environment for cross-cultural communication, making language and cultural understanding easier. Wherever you are, OvoHi helps you explore cultures across countries and regions through conversations about language, lifestyle, interests, and knowledge.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering, creating a profile (the “Profile”), browsing, or viewing content provided by us, you acknowledge that you fully understand and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the “Terms and Conditions”). If you do not agree to these Terms or any future terms of service, please do not use, access, or continue to use the service.
2. Conditions of Use
You may need to register with OvoHi to access and use certain features of the service. OvoHi is available only to users who are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, please do not use this service. If you choose to register for the service, you agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself. Registration data and certain other information about you are governed by our Privacy Policy.
3. Account
You need to create a free account to access and use OvoHi. The account you create is your personal account. You may not gift, lend, sell, transfer, or otherwise allow anyone else to access or use your account. You are responsible for keeping your password and account confidential and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account. OvoHi is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this section. If you discover or suspect that your password or account has been compromised, you must immediately use the password recovery feature in the OvoHi app or contact OvoHi customer support at service@ovohi.site.
4. User Rights and Obligations
Certain content that you share or upload, such as photos and videos, may be protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of intellectual property rights, such as copyright or trademark rights, in content you create and share on OvoHi. Nothing in these Terms takes away your rights in your own content. You may share your content with others wherever you choose. In order to provide and improve our products and services, you grant us certain legal permissions (a “license”) to use that content. These permissions are used only to provide and improve our products and services.
By using the service, you agree to comply with these Terms and applicable laws and regulations, and to respect the rights of other users. You agree not to use the service to send or publish the following:
- a. Any sales of goods or services, promotional materials, or other commercial activities unrelated to the purpose of the service, which is for personal sharing, chat, and communication;
- b. Any unauthorized copying, modification, distribution, exploitation, imitation, or use of copyrighted materials, images, trademarks, trade names, service marks, other intellectual property, content, or proprietary information available through the service without OvoHi’s permission;
- c. Confidential, sensitive, or financial information beyond your own personal boundaries; insults toward other users; or defamatory, abusive, obscene, offensive, violent, political, racist, xenophobic, explicit, or pornographic statements or content;
- d. Content or behavior that OvoHi, in its sole judgment, considers objectionable, that restricts or prevents others from using or enjoying the service, or that may expose OvoHi or its users to any harm or disadvantage;
- e. Statements or content that violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or legally binding rule, or that conflict with the purpose of the service or applicable laws and regulations;
- f. Viruses or other computer code, files, or programs that destroy or limit the functionality of software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment; interfere with or disrupt the service or servers or networks connected to the service; or violate any requirements, procedures, policies, or rules of networks connected to the service.
5. Account Authenticity and Security
To make your experience as authentic as possible and help ensure that all users interact with real people, we may ask you to verify your identity through your email address. Users understand and accept that content they provide, actions they take through the service, or comments they publish may be reported by other members and reviewed and managed by OvoHi according to our evaluation standards. To maintain a safe environment and promote free expression, we remove accounts that harm the community, including accounts that threaten the security of other accounts or our services. We use both automated and manual systems to detect, block, and remove accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate our community rules. We want users to see authentic content on OvoHi. We believe authenticity helps create a better sharing environment. Therefore, OvoHi users may not conceal their true identity or behavior.
If you discover content or behavior in the service that violates these Terms, please use the “Report” button to report it to us. If OvoHi determines that your complaint is valid, we will promptly remove the violating content.
6. Fees
VIP Membership
OvoHi may provide VIP membership and other paid value-added services with enhanced features shown in the app. Current VIP subscription periods include Monthly VIP, Quarterly VIP, Halfyear VIP, and Year VIP. Available packages, prices, benefits, validity periods, and restrictions are subject to the real-time display and order confirmation in the app. You may not sell, exchange, or otherwise transfer VIP membership duration, coins, or benefits in your account to any person or entity.
Recurring VIP subscriptions automatically renew for an additional subscription period unless you cancel before renewal. You are responsible for managing cancellation through the Apple App Store or Google Play account used for purchase, and cancellation takes effect according to the applicable store rules. After cancellation, you may continue to use the subscribed value-added features shown in the app until the end of the current paid period, unless the store or applicable law provides otherwise.
Payments, automatic renewal, cancellation, refunds, chargebacks, and order disputes for Apple App Store or Google Play purchases are handled according to Apple App Store or Google Play rules. OvoHi does not promise refunds outside applicable law, app store rules, or an express OvoHi statement. Coins and membership benefits do not guarantee language learning results, cultural exchange results, communication outcomes, learning progress, or any particular result.
Coins
OvoHi provides a coin service. You may purchase and use coins within this website/app. Coins may be used for consumption within OvoHi. Coins do not expire. Coins are virtual currency and have no monetary value.
7. Notices
By using the service, you agree that OvoHi may provide important notices related to your account or the service. These notices may be shared through the service, app notifications, website banners, or other channels associated with your account, such as email. The contact information you provide must be accurate; otherwise, you may not receive these notices. You understand and agree that we are not responsible for any consequences arising from your failure to keep contact or other information accurate, including but not limited to your inability to receive important information and notices.
8. Disclaimer
You use the service at your own risk. OvoHi expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to warranties that: (1) the service will meet your requirements; (2) the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; (3) results obtained from using the service will be accurate or reliable; and (4) the quality of any product, service, information, or other material purchased or obtained through the service will meet your expectations.
9. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall OvoHi be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, arising from: (1) any statement or conduct of any third party regarding the service; (2) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; or (3) your access to, use of, inability to access, or inability to use the service.
10. User Disputes and Transmitted Content
You agree that you are solely responsible for any interactions with other users related to the service, and OvoHi is not responsible for such interactions. You warrant and represent that the information posted in your profile is posted by you and that you are the sole creator of your profile. When you post, upload, display, or input data that will be visible to other members, including but not limited to text, photos, images, drawings, or graphics used in profiles or videos, you grant OvoHi a worldwide, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free right and license to store, transmit, display, copy, adapt, process, translate, and modify all or part of the content you provide for the purpose of operating, developing, providing, improving the service, or developing new services. These rights are granted during the term of your agreement with OvoHi and are subject to your rights under applicable law.
11. Privacy
At OvoHi, we respect user privacy. For details, please refer to our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you agree that we collect and use personal data as described there.
12. Amendments and Changes to the User Agreement
We may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will be posted in the service, and you should review it frequently. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means that you accept the updated Terms.
